When I surveyed a recent class of Columbia Business concern School MBA students, over ninety% of them listed "pursuing their passion" as an important goal for their future jobs.

In many work settings, yet, overconfidence can lead to detrimental work outcomes, such that passionate and overconfident employees are less likely to seek the feedback and information necessary to succeed.
